Just a quick post to wish good luck Anonymous Is A Woman Theatre Company and the four of our members who just set out on tour with them!
You can catch Leila Sykes, Henri Merriam, Maddie Gould and Stella Taylor in F.A.N.Y., a new play (written by Leila) about the first women in the ambulance service, touring around Worcestershire this month. Full list of dates here.
Those guys were part of our first Titus cast back in 2013, and you’re probably wondering what the others are up to, right?
Well you can catch the lovely Viv Acheampong on the West End, in the National Theatre’s Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – which is a brilliant show. Fran Binefa, another of our first very members, is currently on tour with the hysterical Flintlock Theatre and their new show Don Q… Which you can catch at Greenwich Theatre the very week before we open there! (It’s also on tour – dates here).
And last but by no means least, Ashlea Kaye and Emma Nixon are going to be in a totally amazing piece of theatre at the end of this month, a little show you might have heard of… Titus Andronicus! They’ll be reprising their original roles, alongside a stellar new company.
On a quick aside, it’s been a wonderful process reimagining the show this time around. It’s an interesting thing, to work on a show with a largely new ensemble. It’s invigorating to see the fresh ideas a new group have already found. And really fascinating to see when they come up with the same choices* on their own. That, combined with the ability to draw on what we created together first time around, means it sometimes feels like we’ve got all sixteen of the talented actors from the three outings of the show in the room at the same time…
…But possibly a bit quieter.
Anyway, do try and catch both F.A.N.Y. and Titus Andronicus if you can, and perhaps we’ll see you in the bar at one of them afterwards!

*It’s normally with rude jokes. But I never tell them when they’ve spontaneously made up the same thing, so I guess this is a kind of test to see if any of them read our blog… 🙂
